Newentor 7 Zone
- 7 Zone ergonomic system for spinal alignment and full-body relief
- Medium firm feel suitable for up to 130 kg
- OEKO-TEX 100 and CertiPur-US certified bamboo charcoal fabric cover
- May not suit every individual’s preference for firmness
- Takes some time to expand fully after unboxing
- Heavier than some other mattresses
We recently tried out the Newentor 7 Zone 4FT6 Double Mattress and were impressed with its overall performance. The 7 Zone ergonomic system ensures healthy spinal alignment and full-body relief, reducing aches and back pain. This medium-firm hybrid mattress is designed to cater to the needs of people weighing up to 130 kg, providing the right balance of comfort and support for a good night’s sleep. The mattress is made with care, featuring an OEKO-TEX 100 and CertiPur-US certified bamboo charcoal fabric cover. This environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic cover not only eliminates odours and absorbs excess moisture, but it also regulates temperature, ensuring a fresh and comfortable sleeping surface.
One of the aspects we loved about this mattress was its overall height of 25cm, thicker than many other mattresses we’ve tried. The foam layers provide enhanced pressure relief and motion isolation, while the innerspring coils add extra support for proper spinal alignment. This combination ensures that you won’t feel the springs at all and can enjoy a relaxing sleep.
The only downside we observed is that, although the mattress expands rapidly after unboxing, it takes some time to reach its full size. And, despite its medium firm feel, it might not accommodate everyone’s preference for mattress firmness. Lastly, it’s a bit heavier than other options on the market, which might make manoeuvring it slightly challenging.
Molblly Memory Foam
- Pressure relief
- Soft & breathable
- Durable support
- Cosy & comfy
- Continuous airflow & breathable
- Too firm for some yet too soft for others
- Not suitable for those preferring a spring mattress
The Molblly Memory Foam Mattress is quite comfortable, thanks to the gel memory foam layer that adapts well to the body contours. The medium firmness provides a nice balance of support and comfort, which could be perfect for those who don’t have a specific preference for very firm or soft mattresses.
The mattress comes with a soft, fire-resistant barrier and a skin-friendly fabric, which we enjoyed as it added an extra layer of comfort and safety. Additionally, its breathable design ensures a cool sleeping surface, reducing the chances of overheating during the night.
However, some of us found it too soft, especially those who suffer from back and neck issues, as it might cause one to sink into the mattress more than desired. Also, it takes a while to expand fully when initially unpacked, so one might need to be patient if it’s uncomfortable during the first few nights.
Silentnight 1200 Eco Comfort
- Good Housekeeping award
- Foam and chemical treatment free
- Eco comfort fibres
- 1200 pocket springs
- Can be too firm for some sleepers
- Heavy and may require two people to lift
- Fitted sheets may not fit properly due to the depth
The Silentnight 1200 Eco Comfort Mattress offers a refreshing night’s sleep with sustainable and breathable Eco Comfort fibres. We found that it doesn’t compromise comfort and provides a medium firm feel, suitable for back and side sleepers. Its Mirapocket layer employs 1200 pocket springs, individually responding to movement and delivering tailored support that adapts to our body shape.
The soft knit cover adds a touch of cosiness, and the hypoallergenic properties ensure a clean and fresh sleeping environment, which is especially useful for allergy sufferers. This mattress is double-sided, enhancing its durability and support. However, it’s worth noting that the mattress can be quite heavy and may require two people to lift and move when needed. One minor issue was that our existing fitted sheets did not fit the mattress properly due to its depth. This can be resolved by purchasing deeper sheets.
TeQsli Gel Memory Pocket Sprung
- Excellent pressure relief and motion isolation
- Enhanced edge support for consistent performance
- Breathable and comfortable to sleep on
- May take up to 24 hours for the initial odour to dissipate
- Heavy to manoeuvre due to high-quality materials
This TeQsli mattress caught our attention with its gel memory foam layer, perfectly conforming to the body’s curves while providing effective pressure relief. It is great at reducing fatigue from a long day, and the gel-infused particles help to create a cooler sleeping environment.
The individually wrapped inner springs add another level of support, evenly distributing weight across the mattress and protecting users from spinal discomfort. We especially appreciated this feature, as it noticeably reduced motion interference. Sharing the bed with a partner who frequently changes positions during the night became less of an issue, resulting in more peaceful sleep. One aspect we particularly loved about the TeQsli mattress was its medium firmness. This level of firmness is suitable for a wide range of sleepers, regardless of weight or preferred sleep position. The reinforced edge support further elevates the overall experience, ensuring the mattress doesn’t sag or lose shape over time. Finally, we must mention the breathability of the TeQsli mattress. The knitted fabric feels incredibly comfortable against the skin, promoting a feeling of sleeping on a cloud. Thanks to its superior airflow, we never felt too warm or stuffy throughout the night.
Premium Hybrid Mattress
- Advanced SmartGRID technology
- Excellent support and pressure relief
- Cooling comfort and breathability
- Heavy and may be challenging to move
- Might take time to expand to full size
I was thoroughly impressed by the use of SmartGRID technology in this mattress. The advanced patented technology intelligently adapts to all body shapes, providing relief at pressure points and optimal support. The unique grid structure, in combination with pocketed spring coils, creates an excellent balance of firmness and softness. It is suitable for various sleeping positions, from side to back sleepers.
The cooling comfort provided by the Premium Hybrid Double Mattress enhances the overall sleeping experience. Featuring 2500 air channels in the SmartGRID, allowing maximum breathability and temperature regulation, we enjoyed a comfortable sleep and woke up feeling refreshed. The mattress also uses eco-friendly hypoallergenic fabric, minimizing potential allergens and ensuring a healthy sleep environment. One of our favourite features is the lack of motion transfer. The combination of individually pocketed coil springs and advanced SmartGRID technology ensures that any motion in the bed remains isolated. This aspect was especially useful for those sharing the bed, as it allowed us to sleep undisturbed even when our partner moved. Developed in the UK, this mattress showcases impressive engineering and design aimed at providing the ultimate sleeping experience. It comes with a risk-free 200-night trial and a 10-year warranty, adding confidence to our investment.
